Novel deep learning method may help predict cognitive function

Source: Neuroscience News

This Northwestern University study originally published in Scientific Report explores the use of a deep learning method to predict cognitive function in individuals.

The article explains that the method is based on a convolutional neural network model that has been trained to predict cognitive functions using magnetic resonance imaging scans.

The study highlights that the method has been shown to be effective in predicting cognitive function in a sample of individuals, and that it has the potential to be used in a clinical setting to help identify individuals at risk of cognitive decline.
