Source: OECD

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly integrated into labor market matching processes, spanning from private recruiters to online job platforms. This OECD working paper reviews existing literature, recent policy developments, and interviews with key stakeholders, shedding light on the current landscape and challenges in this domain.

The authors review various use cases including crafting job descriptions, sourcing applicants, analyzing resumes, deploying chatbots, scheduling interviews, and employing facial and voice analysis during interviews.

They conclude that despite promising efficiencies, cost savings, and potential improvements in matching quality and job seeker experience, there are barriers hindering broader adoption including organizational and human readiness, concerns regarding technology use, encompassing issues of robustness, bias, privacy, transparency, and explainability.
